Time to get your shots. The Belly Shot! ( ᐛ )و

If you know me, than you know I'm NOT talking about vaccinations.  Today I'm going to introduce you to the "belly shot".

Yup.  It's a real thing. Well, it has its reasoning behind the name.

Every morning I take turmeric in a veggie capsule.

I can't say enough about this root!  But honestly, I much prefer to eat it and I do that too, but making sure that I get this into my system everyday is effortless by popping it encapsulated.

Cooking curry is another favorite way to get some of this brilliant hued plant into your system.  Sprinkling it on eggs, in any soup, stew or smoothie are all great too!

(Totally recommend that signing canary recipe by trim healthy mama. So nourishing for the adrenals and tastes similar to a creamsicle.)

So now can you see why I'm singing about turmeric?

And what I'm about to share is a fantastic approach with it.  We are going to combine antioxidant-rich turmeric with the probiotic benefits of raw apple cider vinegar.  This can be taken daily, as a morning "shot", for an extended period of time to aid your body in a gentle cleanse.

It can help to easily wash away parasites and fight digestive ailments.

So if your body is feeling a bit sluggish, bloated or you know you just binged on a lot of unhealthy garb, this may just be the quick & simple, do it yourself, answer.

We advised making this 4.5 cups of immune boosting elixir and letting it cool the night before.
Then you will have about approximately 2 ounce "shots" for a 2 week run.  Or this can be shared by 2, for a week.

Okay?  Lets DO This!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups distilled water
  • 1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar (look for the mother/acetic acid!)
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 t ground turmeric
  • 1/8 t cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Heat the water in a saucepan, over medium heat, until just steaming. Then remove it from the heat & stir in the honey, until dissolved.
  • Stir in the apple cider vinegar, turmeric and cayenne pepper. Then pour it into (we prefer) a glass mason jar with lid and refrigerate for at least a couple hours, to chill.

I added a pinch of Pink Himalayan Salt, just preference.

It's easy.  Really, it looks like a lot of steps but it is quick, simple, only uses 4 ingredients and stores in the fridge nicely.

Have your shot today!  I think you'll feel the difference.
